Photoshoot on Zanzibar Island (East Africa)

After a 3 day epic journey from Africa to Finland, I finally now sit amongst 1 metre of snow and minus 13 degrees. A far cry from the photoshoot in Zanzibar where it was 35 degrees every day and surrounded by the blue sea. A big thank you to everyone that participated in the photoshoot for the hotel, it was a lot of fun...the cocktails weren't too bad either...

After another white knuckle bus ride, this time witnessing two bus's having a head on collision with many 22 dead we have now made it to Zanzibar island. Here are a few pics from our safari through the Serengeti. Enjoy!

Hands of Mercy Orphanage

After a white knuckle overnight (14 hour) bus ride from Nairobi to Tanzania (Mwanza), we arrived at the ‘Hands of Mercy’ orphanage where we lived as locals. This was one of the most ‘eye opening’ experiences I have ever had.

These people have nothing, not even running water. We helped with what we could (education, clothes, pens and books) and plan to raise money for several projects. If you would like to know how to help, please contact me. When we arrive back to Finland, I will auction some of my framed photographs, so if you know anyone (individuals or companies) that may be interested, please let me know.

Kate & Mike

From photographing a wedding in a thunderstorm last week to a day of 38 degrees, how could I ask for anymore variety in what I do :) A very relaxed international wedding at Emu Bottom (yes..that was the name of the venue, Victoria's oldest homestead). Congratulations Kate and Mike! (Mike..I don't know how you stayed upright with your three piece suit on in 38 degrees....Your a champion!)
