Finnish - Italian Wedding in Rantasalmi

Rantasalmi, Järvisydan was the location for the wedding of Kirsi and Federico. They both still live in Italy, although organized their wedding in Finland. Its not an easy task to organize a wedding from a different country...although everything went as smooth as it could. I loved the organized, 'chilled out' chaos of the Italians...and the punctuality of the Finns, what a great mix! The venue itself was very dark inside and created a great atmosphere, although at the same time very challenging for me as a photographer. It was one of those days that I really appreciated my assistant with lighting set-ups. Congratulations to Kirsi and Federico! I will take you up on your offer to visit you in Lake Garda...;)

Mirja & Janne's Special Day...

Tampere was the city for the wedding pf Mirja & Janne, starting in town for the getting ready shots, I think Mirja has won my nomination for the most 'jumping around bride' while getting ready...maybe a few nerves...although I think we managed a few good 'getting ready shots'. The ceremony was at the Messukylän vanha kirkko, which I believe is the oldest building in Tampere. The floor boards are a little unstable...(I found out the hard way) so be careful, although has great character and charm. The reception was in the country side at a beautiful villa, where there were great photo opportunities, plenty of dancing and partying...Congrats to you both!

  I quite enjoy this one of the children....kids will be kids....

A Wedding on the 'Beach' in Finland ???

As soon as I saw a man in a dress (ok..it was a kilt)...I knew it was going to be a great wedding! Dom was from the UK and Jenni from Finland.  The wedding took place at Rantapuisto on the beach. A little different from the beaches that I am use to...still, it was a beach! One of the many interesting moments at a wedding are the speeches....you can find out what a couple is really like...even get to see some pictures in compromising poses....way to go Dom! (Inside Joke). Congratulations!

Photography Workshops

I have had an overwhelming response to the registration for this workshop, almost 30 people tried to register on Monday alone and people are still trying to register as I write this blog.
